One of our first styled shoots several years ago, was still one of my favorite locations, using the intimate greenhouse at Cheney Mansion, in Oak Park, IL. This was such a fun photo shoot, and despite the change of plans a week before, due to the forecast of pouring rain, it was such a beautiful success! As so many plans had already been made, our photographer/coordinator Jen Jenkins Photography, found the Cheney Mansion as a great solution where photography could be done inside the greenhouse, and the bride and groom walked the grounds with a cute umbrella, in the rain!
The flowers were extraordinary, and Janet Gallagher, owner of Designs by Janet, does such an amazing job of putting breathtaking arrangements together. Check out the photos of the most amazing arch that was eye-catching above our vintage harvest table, used as a sweetheart table. Using our vintage china and gold-wash flatware tied with a simple ribbon, the table looked simply stunning! Our vintage Fostoria goblets were the icing on the cake!
Using a vintage painted desk as a sweets table, a stunning cake, cupcakes, and cookies made by Candace at Cacao Sweets and Treats, now https://.ivoryiron.com filled the table with beautiful, tasty goodness! I used pieces of our vintage Milk Glass to hold the cake and cupcakes, as well as a variety of fruit in other pieces!
https://cheneymansion.com is a beautiful mansion located in Oak Park, IL, where events are held throughout the year! With the beautiful grounds available, as well as the greenhouse, it makes a spectacular venue for events!
Just as the styled-shoot ended, the skies opened up and the downpour began, again! Every single piece of our inventory was carried out, wrapped in blankets, then unwrapped inside the truck, to return for the next piece, which was wrapped! Nothing got wet, except those great folks loading the trucks! All in all, it was a great day, and we were thrilled with the amazing photographs sent to us by Jen Jenkins, an Arizona resident who flew to Chicago for this event, as well as a wedding a few days later!
