Who doesn't love a themed event! I've always enjoyed the challenge to dress up in character for a themed event, and when we were invited to collaborate in this styled-shoot with Palmhouse 619, a venue in it's final renovation phase, located in Evanston, IL, we were excited to join in the fun and creativity! When finished, the 10,000 s/f event venue will be able to host large weddings, private events, themed parties, and much more! Be sure to check their website to watch the progress and opening date!
Partnering with Peckish Pig, located just a few steps from Palmhouse 619, Greenspoon Kitchen provided a delicious array of foods for this soiree! Drool over some of these tasty treats along with me as you take a look at the photos! And, those custom cocktails were an art in themselves; check out the work of @hardlyshaken. Champagne celebration provided by Philippe Andre, @niquesomm, US Ambassador for Charles Heidsieck Champagne! Philippe also was the Mad Hatter model for this shoot!
Photography was captured by Jenn Marie Photography, and shows many of the details that decorated the Mad Hatter's table, the sweets table, and the lounge! We styled the dining table with beautiful floral designs, including moss covered teapots filled with floral displays, and bud vases scattered throughout the set, all designed by FlowersFlowers in Evanston, IL! With the addition of our vintage china, flatware, stemware, we brought some of the many small props in our collection such as vintage watch faces, moss for table coverings, vintage books, brass candleholders, teacups and saucers, and candles - always include candles, and all sorts of woodland elements. Oyster shells, with beautiful gold calligraphy served as name place holders, and we loved that organic touch to the table! These were provided by Laurel Calligraphy, and were perfect for this elegant table set up.
We feel like the details are so important in a themed event, and we take every effort to incorporate bits and pieces of details that make every vignette cohesive with the overall theme! Getting to show our creativity for events like this are where we shine!
No event goes without a beautiful sweets table, and take a look at this beauty of a cake, designed by Sweet Temptations Bake Shop! Along with the cake, numerous sweets were also displayed as part of the creativity of Peckish Pig, and Greenspoon Kitchen.
Don't forget a lounge; no event is complete without a lounge, and our Britain settee, in the perfect moss color, was the final element to this eclectic-styled lounge set-up, complete with woodsy touches of birch logs, moss, open frames, a vintage birdcage on a stand, and old vintage leather bags!
