With so many unique venues around the Chicago-land area, farm and barn weddings are just one more way to express your personality, especially for those wanting something a little rustic, with a touch of elegance, too!
We were recently invited to participate in a wedding styled shoot at Lincoln Farmstead, and we were so excited to bring some of our Prairie-style vintage rentals to the farm to create a visual experience, and give a hint as to all the possibilities available when you hire us to curate and design your big day!
Lincoln Farmstead is a recently renovated 1920's dairy farm, and Chris and Barb Lincoln, owners, have done an amazing job in preserving the past while bringing elegant necessities into the mix!
The barn is used primarily for dining/receptions, so we wanted to show furniture and decor that would work well for this purpose. Our Joy sweetheart table was paired with our Straw settee and a few farm props, while Mayfield Flowers, created beautiful floral table arrangements using our amber bottles, galvanized trays, and other unique brass pieces to decorate with. We even brought one of our vintage milk cans to place near the Sweetheart Table, an ode to the old dairy farm, which was paired with a beautiful floral display by Mayfield Flowers.
Green Spoon Kitchen provided the most elegant presentation of entrees, desserts, and drinks for this event, and we can't wait to work with them, ourselves. Every dish prepared and presented was an art in itself, and with the addition of Tablescape Chicago, and linens from F&S Linens the farm tables looked stunning.
Planning for the event was done by KJones Events, and the beautiful photography was done by Lisa Kay Creative. Calligraphy invitation suites and an entrance welcome sign, were done by The Wright Design Co.
Below is one of many of our silver trays which are perfect for appetizer trays, passing champagne flutes, dessert trays, decor, or even the perfect base for all the small details of your wedding day! Don't forget to ask your photographer to capture these moments; each piece you've chosen, from earrings, rings, necklace, invitation, flowers, ribbon, vintage stamps, all have a special meaning, and when they're carefully styled on a tray or something related to your wedding theme, you'll be glad you have that memory.
Desserts from the sweets table were presented on our vintage, white table service, including cake plates, platters, wooden boxes as risers, and the ever present touch of florals from Mayfield Flowers! Take a look at some of the goodies, including Rice Krispy Popsicles, Peach Cobbler, Chocolate Caramel Ganache Tartlets, and and Pumpkin Pie Tarts.
We moved from the barn to other outbuildings on the property, including the Men's Getting Ready Room in the Corn Crib, an open barn for cocktail hour, and the beautiful shed where your outdoor covered ceremony can be held.
Check out Lincoln Farmstead in Huntley, IL, to see the area's newest Barn Venue and all it offers.
Whether you're looking to add vintage, one-of-a-kind decor to your reception tables, a sweetheart table package, Lounge seating, or ceremony backdrops and decor, we're conveniently located to Huntley, and look forward to working with couples who choose Lincoln Farmstead for their wedding day!
