Tiny weddings are such a beautiful, intimate way to marry the love of your life, while not sacrificing style, design, or details that are important to you. It's your wedding day, a different way!
Showing The Loft as a destination for elopement weddings was my goal when we collaborated with a group of photographers in early 2019, never knowing just how important these photos would be when early Spring 2020 came around, and with it the restrictions brought by COVID-19. Elopement weddings are usually more simply planned and executed, with a handful of friends in attendance, in a location that brings out the personality of the couple; we wanted to show that elopement weddings can be beautiful, memorable, and all that a typical classic wedding would be, on a much smaller budget, without missing out on style.
Florals were provided by Jordan, from EDEN Floral Designs and both bouquets were perfect. We loved the touch of blue in ribbons for this bouquet, otherwise, it was nearly all whites with touches of green. Placed on our Joy Table, this bouquet was simple yet perfect for the occasion. Also shown is our Victorian tufted settee, that provides the perfect place to enjoy dinner at your reception, a lounge seating area, or even ceremony seating! Treat your parents and grandparents as royalty, and use unique seating like this during the ceremony!
Adding deep burgundies, touches of evergreens and silver, the second bouquet Jordan provided was just as beautiful and unique! Accented with a deep burgundy ribbon, it was the perfect combination for the wintry day we ended up having, and had the perfect amount of color for a winter-inspired elopement wedding.
Our winter white Victorian Sofa and matching side chair were styled as Lounge seating pieces for this winter-inspired elopement shoot. With Victorian wood trim, and a tufted back, their style is timeless, and we love even more the updated linen-like fabric that they're covered in! When you want something neutral for your wedding photo booth, Lounge area, brides dressing room area, or even a sweetheart table, these pieces are stunning!
We always suggest that couples take some time to get photos outside, as well as in The Loft, because there are so many great photo opportunities in the urban, artsy area located around the venue. It's a good idea to take a walk around the venue you're considering, because having a few outside photos to add to your collection add a unique touch to the memories of your wedding day. We loved this wintry look!
For a simple elopement ceremony, your guest list may not be more than 40 friends and family, and this number is perfect for The Loft of Elements Preserved. Showing a simply styled mantle, decorated with vintage bottles and floral stems, and accompanied by two square-topped vintage columns, these pieces made a wintry-warm backdrop for an intimate wedding ceremony.
If you're looking for an intimate, loft-style, elegant and unique venue in the Chicago suburbs, we think you'll be more than thrilled with all you find at The Loft. Styled with vintage furnishings, and enhanced with floor-to-ceiling windows and hardwood flooring throughout, it speaks of style and elegance, in an old-world way.
With bookings for weddings and special celebrations in full swing, we suggest you give us a call to schedule a tour and see what's in store when you book The Loft for your elegant, intimate wedding ceremony.
