"Where The Wild Things are" Baby Shower at the Loft of Elements Preserved

Updated: May 11, 2021

We've hosted some beautiful baby showers, but one of our very favorites was a baby shower designed and planned by Amy Elish Balis-Reifenstuhl, owner at Rustique Swan for her daughter and son-in-law! Every detail of this shower was touched with love and promise of a new baby who would soon arrive.

Spencer Trygve Cakes created a stunning two-tier cake with gold foil accents for this beautiful baby shower.

Bubbly Wall invites guests to serve themselves for stylish baby shower at The Loft of Elements Preserved

Just take a look at this Bubby Wall, created by The Bubbly Truck; what a sweet way to provide individual bottles of sparkling juice, or champagne for your guests!

And the balloon garlands bring so much color to this event, by Kio Kreations!

We love the Boho theme carried through, with macrame, wicker, gold accents, and bright colorful florals! The Farm tables we provide for each event are simple, vintage tables, and allow the theme of the event to carry through without distraction!

Providing a seating area with wicker chairs and bright yellow pillows was a perfect addition to the decor.

Amy created a beautiful seating arrangement for the guest of honor to open gifts or have photos taken with friends and relatives! Floral arrangements were provided by Aysel Cristian Floral Atelier.

Our vintage baker's rack is available for every event, and today, it was filled with vintage stemware for guests to enjoy a drink.

You'll find photos published in the January 2020 issue of The Celebration Society's Parties Magazine, as well, and we're honored to be featured as the host Venue! We hope you'll take a look here, as well! So many unique and inspirational decor ideas are shown for this favorite themed baby shower.

Whether you're choosing to bring your own decor, or allow us the opportunity to create your dream theme, we are positive you'll find our intimate space open and inviting to nearly any style you choose. With very few intimate venues having an industrial, vintage-chic vibe and upscale look available in the Chicago suburbs, we hear repeatedly that there's just nothing like this around, and our guests feel like they've found a hidden gem!

The beautiful baby shower was complete with every detail, as you see from the photos above, from a champagne wall, a DIY flower bar, sweets of every kind served on our vintage sideboard, a sweet photo seating area created by Amy, a teepee for the young kids to have their own place to create, and beautifully decorated table designs on each of our farm tables. Many vendors were involved in creating this beautiful shower, and you'll find the complete listing below. Notice all the calligraphy signs, created by The Chicago Calligrapher. We are in love with these little signs throughout each area in the venue.

Vintage buffet serves as a sweets table for most events, and is one of our in-house furnishings provided to all guests.

Each guests created their own floral arrangement to take home from this beautiful flower bar! We love the idea of giving the guests an area to create something to remember the day, and enjoy later on! Whether you're creating one of a kind onesies for the new baby, a make your own spa salts kit, a floral bouquet, a children's area to play and create, decorate cookies, or simply enjoy the company of your loved ones, memories like those made at milestone events last forever.

Colorful DIY Flower Bar for each guest to create their own floral bouquet to take home.

We hope you'll remember The Loft of Elements Preserved when it comes time for your intimate celebrations! We're here to assist in whatever way we can, whether it's helping to design the theme and decor for your event (our showroom is just steps away, and filled with props, furniture, signage, and so much more, that may be added to your rental package), or to simply have our in-house furnishings in place, and you bring your own decor.
