Take a look at another summertime styled shoot, with a modern luxury twist, while encompassing everything classic-style! That's what you'll find at the historic Armour House, located in Lake Forest, IL.
With indoor fountains, a grand marble-floor staircase and ballroom, gorgeous gardens and outdoor fountains, and too many historic details to mention, The Armour House is truly a venue that provides you with historic charm and luxury.
On one of the hottest days of the summer, we had the opportunity to join a large group of talented vendors who created a breathtaking bridal-styled shoot! Dream details were not spared, with beautiful floral displays by Florist and Hound, found at the outdoor fountain, the brides beautiful bouquet, the groom's boutonniere, the sweetheart table display, and the wedding cake! With a fresh style, often using organic elements, Florist and Hound knows how to turn your beautiful florals into a spectacular design!
Whether you're using the outdoor open courtyard at The Armour House for your wedding, or a more intimate indoor wedding, the gardens and the interior add a classic, historic charm to every event! And, as always, adding a few key furniture pieces (Joy Table, Platinum settee) only accentuate that beauty even more! Our vintage seating pieces are always a perfect addition to add to your event at The Armour House; whether you're using seating for your sweetheart table, or bride's getting ready room, or for family photos, their classic style is always a plus to this beautiful venue!
The beautiful couture gowns were provided by Cara Maria Farella. The details in the two gowns worn were simply timeless, elegant, and breathtaking!
Stationery was provided by Christen Whitehouse, creative owner of Maison Blanche Lettering. If you're looking for truly stunning stationery, with that old-world feel, look no further than Christen's work!
The full day event was planned by Ashley Best, owner at Ash Best Events, along with Assistant Planner, Jessica Levi. Pulling together a large group of vendors with a common vision is not an easy feat, and despite the heat, (seriously, it must've been nearly 100 degrees that day), and pure sunshine, it was a stunningly beautiful shoot,
Colette Marie Photography captured every detail of the day, from the food details prepared by Armour House, the beautiful calligraphy by Availa and Co., stunning hair and makeup by Goldust Woman, and the groom's attire, by Bespoke Below. I am still taken by that emerald green tux; a color you don't see so often, but was perfect for this outdoor wedding styled shoot, especially on a bright and sunny day! Custom cocktails were created by mixologist, Beth Martini, Never Fake It Hospitality.
We hope the photos will be inspiring to you; whether you're looking for a classic, historic venue, or something you create for your own backyard, we always say, the details matter.
We provided the lounge seating/sweetheart table package, Florentine nesting tables that displayed the wedding cake, by Lexie Vincent, vintage table settings and decor! There are a few vintage and historic venues around the Chicagoland area that are calling for pieces from our collection; we hope you'll reach out! We'd love the opportunity to bring vintage beauty to your wedding day!
